All around us, friends and family are sharing snow and ice pictures. I am personally glad that we did not get any of the "Blizzard of 2016". I am good with the little ice we had Wednesday, turning to rain that will end tomorrow in a sunny, cold Saturday. If you are sad you did not get to play in the snow, drive over to nearby Mentone, Alabama (about 40 minutes away) and SKI BAMA! The weather tonight is going to be nasty, stay home and enjoy Mozart in the Jungle, reruns of the Office or whatever Netflix show you are currently bingeing on. After that, enjoy one or any of these fun events in Chattanooga this weekend.
Marc Broussard at The Revelry Room
I discovered Marc Broussard about 10 years ago after hearing him on Itunes (that dates me, I know). His voice is unbelievable, smooth and with great range, sounding to me of the deep south. His is that music that you listen to when you are sad and you want to be sadder and the music that will fire you up at a moment's notice. Home is the song that I listened to over and over again as I trained for a marathon. You can see him Saturday at the Revelry Room. Tickets are still available online or day of show. Show starts at 8pm.
Black Jacket Symphony
If the blues is not your thing, get out of your box and head to the symphony at the Tivoli Theater for The Black Jacket Symphony's performance of Journey's "Escape" album. The Black Jacket Symphony is truly a cool experience, with lights and video accenting the thrilling music of classical musicians performing classic albums. Tickets are still available online and at the Tivoli box office. The doors open at 7pm and the show begins at 8pm.
Have a super (cold), no snow weekend! Spring will be here in just a few weeks!
