This week has been a doozy! We have had a typical Chattanooga spring week with weather ranging from the 70's to the 40's and back to the 60's. Weather is unpredictable, but a fun weekend in Chattanooga is not! This weekend you can find all kinds of fun things to get into, from cheering on runners in our inaugural Chattanooga marathon to experiencing the Open Studio Nights at Chattanooga Workspace. Open Studio Nights
Live music, speed painting and art demonstrations? That is what is in store for you at tonight's Open Studio at Chattanooga Workspace, home to many of Chattanooga's working artists. This is a very cool event, held monthly on the first Friday of every month, which showcases the work of local artists and musicians in Chattanooga. Each month feature a unique event and this month's is local musician Rick Rushing and artist Ali Kay will be speed painting along side his music, Kelly Howe is presenting her senior art project, the Heritage High School blues band will be performing and if that is not enough... you can view tons of art demonstrations and sample snacks from Dish T'Pass! 5:30-8:30 302 W. 6th Street (Across from the downtown YMCA). Chattanooga Boutique Warehouse Sale
What if all the boutiques in town got together and created a fun weekend of shopping? Well, today and Saturday, you can head to Stratton Hall and shop til you drop at the 2016 Spring Warehouse Sale! boutiques such as Backstreet Betty's , River City Apparel, Merch, Leafy Street, Irma Marie, Frankie and Julian's and The Fitting Room join together to offer amazing deals on boutique items including clothing, furniture and gift items. Sunday, head down to the Chattanooga river front to cheer on the starting line, or head to the First Tennessee Pavilion to cheer on the finishers in the inaugural Chattanooga Marathon. With a course that runs all through downtown, North Chattanooga and St. Elmo, this is not only a challenging course, but also a fun way to showcase our city!
