Summer is almost here (Monday!) despite what the temperatures are already saying! This weekend is supposed to be sunny and hot, but not as hot as it has been the past two weeks with highs in the 80's instead of the 90's. Riverbend Festival will wind down Saturday night and feature fireworks as the grand finale. If you are looking for fun options outside of that, here are your best bets!

Adventure Canoe Series
This time of year, all I want to do is be on the water or out in the mountains. Lucky for me, Chattanooga and North Georgia have plenty of opportunity for both. The South Chickamauga Creek Adventure Canoe Series, sponsored by Outdoor Chattanooga is an great way to get out and explore this Saturday. Some experience is required, however all equipment is proved and there is a shuttle to bring you back to your car. The creek is a free flowing creek that travels through part of the Tennessee River Blueway. Ages 8 and up. $20 per person. Prior registration required. Call 423-634-6888.
Junior League Designer Showhouse
There is nothing quite so southern and a Junior League Designer Showhouse. Our in house designer, Tiffany Anich ofSoutherly Abode was one of the designers featured. Open this week and next weekend, you can view this home and support a great cause. Open 10-6 Saturday and 1-4 on Sunday. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased online. 526 South Crest Road.
Father's Day at the Chattanooga Market
Father's Day is Sunday and we all know our dad's deserve special treatment. The Chattanooga Market has a special day planned for dad's featuring bacon, beer and blues. Local craft beer, bacon themed menus and blues on the stage all day give dad a chance to hang out. Open 11-4pm every Sunday until November, the Chattanooga Market is one of the highest attended markets in the country.
Whatever you choose to do this weekend, we hope you have a truly wonderful last weekend of spring here in Chattanooga.
