Chattanooga is going to be warm this weekend! Get outdoors and enjoy it while you can! There are plenty of things to get you into the holiday spirit this weekend, both indoors and out.
We are lucky to live in a town with a really great zoo. This Friday or Saturday night, head over to the Chattanooga Zoo for holiday lights. Kids of all ages will love seeing the zoo lit up with holiday lights and the opportunity to see so many of the nocturnal animals out and about. Santa will be available for photos, there will be plenty of holiday games and craft for the little ones and holiday concessions available. Tickets are available at the entrance or online. Hours are 5:30-8pm both nights. 301 Holtzclaw Ave Chattanooga, TN 37404. Parking is free.
Christmas Nights of Lights
If you love lights, this is for you! Head to Camp Jordan for the drive through Christmas light extravaganza, Christmas Nights of Lights ! What seems like millions of LED lights are synchronized to Christmas music that plays through your car radio! The cost is $6 per person or $25 per vehicle (over 5 people). There is also a Santa's village with Santa (of course!) and holiday crafts and a holiday gift market. Details can be found online. 323 Camp Jordan Parkway East Ridge, TN 37412
A Christmas Story, The Musical
Looking to lift your spirits? Don't miss Chattanooga Theater Centre's A Christmas Story now through December 23rd. Ralphie and his dreams of the Red Rider BB gun come alive set to music in this hilarious performance. You can even get your photo with the leg lamp! Tickets and performance times are available at the box office or online. 400 River Street Chattanooga, TN 37405.
Chattanooga is privileged to be home to both a symphony & orchestra and two ballet companies. Every year, the Chattanooga Ballet presents the iconic Nutcracker ballet. This is a grand production on a huge scale and is one of the best things about the holidays in Chattanooga in my books. Make a night of it and tour the downtown holiday windows at EPB on your way to the performance. Show starts at 8pm. Tivoli Theater. Tickets can be purchased online.
Brunch on the Bluff
Get your tickets TODAY for Sunday's Brunch on the Bluff. The Hunter Museum of America Art's winter concert series features the music of local musician, Dan Pinson.
